KOA welcome Sinan Ramis to the role of Palmerston North Engineering Manager.

Sinan will be relocating from the Wellington region to settle in Palmerston North.  Sinan brings a wealth of expertise and over twenty years of experience in the engineering field.

He has worked in Australia previously for sixteen years.  He brings specialities in Commercial, mixed used buildings, new design and project management.

Wellington to Auckland Cycle Challenge

KOA sponsored the KOA team in the Wellington to Auckland cycle race. 

Weather  was not on their side but they finished the race and no one suffered any injuries.  Well done KOA team.  This was a great effort from Kevin Judd, Paul Cole, Stuart Doidge, Pirran Kendall, Rachel Findon and Holly Jenkins for completing the race.  Greg Szakats participated in the first leg but this was cut down due to bad weather.  They were very lucky to have some helpful supporters who followed along to help with repairs and support.  Thank you to Rachel’ s dad and Pirran’s mum.

Manawatu Orion Motorcycle Club

KOA were proud to be one of the sponsors in the recent 2017 Woodville New Zealand Grand Prix held by the Manawatu Orion Motorcycle Club.

We drew the sponsorship race for the Mini Intro 1 – Trail 50cc 405 years (our up and coming riders).  Congratulations to all that participated.  Looks like a great day.

QEII National Trust

KOA Christchurch undertakes surveys of Open Space Land Covenants for the QEII National Trust throughout the wider Canterbury Region, Nelson, Marlborough and West Coast areas.

Brent George of KOA Christchurch attended the launch of the Queens Commonwealth Canopy initiative in NZ by Her Excellency, The Rt Hon. Dame Patsy Reddy GNZN QSO, Governor General of New Zealand.

The launch celebrated the formal registration of Mount Terako Covenant, New Zealand’s first QCC covenant, established by Sue and Peter Turnbull in partnership with QEII Trust.  Steve Jacobs and Paul Halkett of KOA completed the field survey definition of the covenant (DP 497998) in May 2016.

The Minister of Conservation, Hon. Maggie Barry ONZM, and friends and associates of QEII National Trust were welcomed officially at Mt Lyford Lodge by Iwi representatives, and after a lunch, visited the Mount Terako Covenant where the unveiling of a commemorative plaque took place.

Christchurch Office – Welcomes a new Manager

KOA would like to welcome Malcolm Hanrahan as the Christchurch Survey Manager.  Malcolm has taken over from Brian Andersen who recently retired.

Malcolm has joined us with over 30 years experience in the surveying industry and will manage a team of 7 surveyors and technicians.  Feel free to give Malcolm a call on 021 222 9553 or call into the office between 8am – 5pm.  Malcolm is supported by the nationwide offices of KOA in Auckland, Palmerston North and Wellington.

The Christchurch team recently moved from 232 Hills Road, to new premises at 480C Moorhouse Avenue, Waltham. If you are passing call in and see the team we are sure they can help you with all your surveying requirements.
