KOA surveying and resource planning teams have been jointly involved in working alongside Horizons and PMB Landco to progress the recontouring of the Anzac Cliff area in conjunction with the rerouting of the Manawatu River. The cliff area is unstable and presented a risk to the community. Major geotechinical issues and environmental issues needed to be worked through for this project to progress. The application to undertake 200,000 cubic metres of earthworks to stabilise and recontour the cliff was granted by a panel of commissioners which is likely to progress in the summer due to seasonal flow of the river.
Kevin Judd and Lisa Poynton were both involved with this project. Kevin was involved from the outset with preparing subdivision concepts, detailed designs of the new embankment providing our client with project guidance. Lisa and Kevin both worked together obtaining the necessary resource consents.
