Wharewaka

With a construction period of January 2010 to January 2011 Te Wharewaka was given the name of Te Raukura on its opening day, the 6th of February 2011. Utilising a precast concrete column, structural steel rafter portal frame design this building was used to bring a significant cultural presence to the Wellington waterfront. Brendon Schaare, Shop Detailing Manager did the shop detailing for this project with an approximate floor space of 1700m2.  This two level structure was constructed using 120 tonne of structural steel and purlins.
